The rule

What Google requires

New personal developer accounts must run a closed test before they can publish.

12testers opted in
14days in a row
Closedtest, not internal

This applies to personal accounts created after November 13, 2023. Keeping 12 real people active for two straight weeks is the hard part, and that is what our Android app testers do for you.

Is this for you?

Who needs Android app testers

New personal account

Created after November 13, 2023, with the 12-tester requirement showing.

Not enough testers

Fewer than 12 reliable Android users, or testers who go quiet.

Rejected before

A closed test failed or Google asked for more testing.

Agencies and studios

New client apps, and no time to recruit testers for each one.

Already have 12+ reliable users who will stay opted in for 14 days? You may not need us.

The problem

Why DIY testing breaks

1

Opt-in gap

Emails on a list do not count. Testers must join through the opt-in link.

2

Continuous clock

A tester who opts out before day 14 does not count, so exactly 12 is fragile.

3

Zero-engagement days

Google can ask for more testing if testers are not engaged.

4

Emulators and fake accounts

Swap groups often use them. Real devices and real accounts are the standard.

Day after day

What our testers do

Opt in properly

Each tester joins your closed test with the account on your list.

Real devices

Physical Android phones, across devices and Android versions.

Daily use

They open your app every day and work through your core flows.

Follow your flows

Give us 1–3 flows to focus on and testers follow them.

Report findings

Bugs, crashes and confusing screens are logged.

Stay opted in

Anyone who goes inactive is replaced from standby testers.

They never leave public reviews, never need your Play Console login or source code, and are not a full QA team.

3 steps

How it works

About 5 minutes of your time.

1

Choose a plan

Pick 12, 20 or 25 testers, then add our tester emails to your Play Console closed track and paste in your opt-in link.

2

We test for 14 days

Our testers opt in, usually within 3 hours, and use your app daily. Follow progress live on your dashboard. Drop-outs are replaced at no extra cost.

3

Apply for production

On day 14 you get session records, screenshots and tester feedback to apply in Play Console.

Day by day

Your 14-day timeline

  1. Day 0 You add our tester list and share the opt-in link. Testers opt in and install.
  2. Days 1–13 Daily use on real devices, feedback and bugs logged, dropouts replaced, progress visible on your dashboard.
  3. Day 14 At least 12 testers have been continuously opted in for 14 days. You receive your evidence pack and feedback summary.
  4. Day 14+ You apply for production access in Play Console. Google reviews your application, usually within seven days and sometimes longer, and emails the account owner with the result.
  5. If Google asks for more testing If the rejection is because of a testing problem, we run a free re-test under our guarantee terms.
Pricing

Who we work with

Indie and solo developers

Stop begging friends to test your app. Get 12 verified testers, ready within hours, and spend the 14 days improving your app instead of sending reminder messages.

Startups and first-time apps

Do not let a two-week testing rule move your launch date. We source and run the closed test end to end.

Agencies and app studios

One tester partner for every client launch, with volume pricing, priority scheduling, and a multi-app progress dashboard.

No-code builders

Apps from FlutterFlow, Bubble, and Adalo still have to pass the same closed test. Our testers run them on real phones, like any other Android app.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Answers about how our Android app testers work with Google Play closed testing.

Are these Android app testers real people or bots?

Yes, they are real people. Every tester uses a physical Android phone with their own Google account on a real mobile or home Wi-Fi network. We do not use bots, emulators, or device farms, because that activity does not look like real testing.

What exactly does Google Play require from my closed test?

If your personal Google Play developer account was created after November 13, 2023, Google requires you to run a closed test with a minimum of 12 testers who have been opted in continuously for at least 14 days. When you meet that criteria, you can apply for production access from the Dashboard in Play Console and answer questions about your closed test, your app, and your production readiness.

Does internal testing count toward the 14 days?

No. The production access requirement is for a closed test. Internal testing is useful for quick checks with a small trusted group, but it is not the track Google requires you to complete before you apply for production access.

What does opted in continuously actually mean?

Each tester must open your opt-in link, join the closed test with the Google account you listed, and stay opted in for 14 consecutive days. Google states that a tester who opts in, tests for fewer than 14 days, and then opts out does not count, and if they opt back in later, the 14 days must be consecutive.

What do I have to do in Play Console?

Create your closed testing track under Test and release > Testing > Closed testing, create a release, add the tester email list we provide under the Testers tab, and send us the opt-in link the track generates. We handle tester opt-in, daily use, replacements, and activity records from there.

What do the testers actually do each day?

Testers install your app from Google Play after opting in, open it every day, and use its core features. Google's own guidance is to give testers clear instructions and encourage them to use as many features as possible, so we direct testers through your main flows and collect the feedback, bugs, and crashes they find.

Can testers leave a public review on Google Play?

No, and they should not. Google states that testers cannot leave public reviews on Google Play for test versions. Testers can send private feedback through Google Play, and we collect feedback for you to summarize in your production access application.

What happens if a tester drops out during the 14 days?

We replace them from our standby testers at no extra cost. Because one opt-out can break a tester's continuous 14-day count, our Grow and Scale plans start with more than the minimum 20 or 25 testers so your total stays safely above 12.

What happens on day 14?

Once at least 12 testers have been opted in continuously for 14 days, you can click Apply for production in Play Console. You will answer questions in three sections: About your closed test, About your app or game, and About your production readiness. We provide session records, screenshots, and tester feedback to help you answer the closed test section accurately.

How long does Google take to review the production access application?

Google says review usually takes seven days or less, but it can sometimes take longer, and the account owner is notified by email when the review is complete. If Google requires additional testing, for example because of insufficient tester engagement, we run a free re-test if the rejection was because of a testing problem, subject to our guarantee terms.

Do you need access to my Play Console or source code?

No. We never need your Play Console login or your source code. You stay in control of your account. You simply add our tester emails to your closed testing track, the same way you would add any other testers.

Can you test apps that need a login, games, or non-English apps?

Yes. If your app needs an account, provide test credentials or a free sign-up and our testers will create accounts and use the app normally. Games and non-English apps are fine too, because testers use your real features rather than following an English-only script.
